And please believe us, it was very hard. If some of you finally are not named in our selection of the first 3 winners, please don’t be dissapointed, don’t forget that a choice is always subjectiv.
There were also criterias involved like: is it playable on the floor, is it the ‘rhythm’ for Brickwork, is it touching the heart but also how creativ is the idea behind ?

Welcome to our next show Brickwork.FM, today with Miss Funky and Thomas Ploch in the Mix.

Miss Funky discovered the electronic music scene in the early years. At the age of 12, she was interested in this music-intensive culture. She was very inspired by artists such as Age of Love, Sven Väth, U96, Members of Mayday, Stammheim (Aufschwung Ost), Omen, Der Dritte Raum & Infected Mushroom “. In 2002, she began to hang up their own music. Two years later she discovered her new passion: creating electronic music.
Her releases appear on Labels like Audio Dimension Records and Keymono Digital, soon also on our Label Brickwork. She works also with Stephan koenigk together on a new collab for Audio Dimension Records. Stephan delivers a remix for her incredible original ‘Intense’ which will be coming out soon.

Thomas Ploch started getting into electronic music at the tender age of 14, Drum and Bass was his first glance into the depths of electronic music. Infected with the jungle fever, he decided to become an MC, who during his now 14 year lasting career developed to a well known and respected artist in Germany. He performed at numerous different locations throughout Germany and the U.K, including major Drum and Bass events like Innovation, Kings Of The Jungle or Jungle Fever to name only a few.
Over the years he started a natural shift towards Techno music that was completed by the beginning of 2009. Together with his partner he started the Mechno music project, which stands for dark mechanical techno made for the dancefloor, soon earning him various gigs around the Rhine-Neckar-Region in clubs like Loft Club, MS Connexion, Halle02 and Karlstorbahnhof.
By spring 2010 he also started producing his own tracks, his talent raised more and more attention and was spotted by various inprints. He has now released tracks on Freitag, Triskel Tech, Divided and Plastiq and is running his own monthly live radio show on FNOOB Techno, where he and Couch Lock present 2 hours of the best and latest releases in Dark Minimal and Techno. In Summer we will release here on our label his ‘Curveball EP’ a strong ‘summer-release’ with remixes by UBB, Stephan Koenigk and Miss Sunshine, so keep your ears and eyes open
